SchoolOne privacy policy 

SchoolOne.com is committed to protecting your online privacy while you use the services provided by SchoolOne.com. We urge you to read this privacy policy in its entirety so that you will understand all of the practices and procedures that relate to your online privacy. Parents pay particularly close attention to Section IX, which deals with collecting information from children under the age of 13. No identifiable personal information will be disseminated to any third party by SchoolOne.com.  

I.     SchoolOne.com, Inc.("SchoolOne.com") is a technology company that provides online
websites/portals to schools and businesses.  This Privacy Statement protects your privacy by:

i. type of personal information SchoolOne.com collects about you through this website;

ii. how that information is collected;

iii. the general purposes for which that information is collected;

iv. what disclosures of information will be made; and

v. how, and to what extent, you can limit those disclosures.

The second is when you are registering to use the SchoolOne Program. The third is when you are actually using the SchoolOne Program. This privacy policy concerns all of these instances.

Additionally, information that is not identifiable to you may be collected as noted above; any such information gathered while you are browsing may be aggregated and shared with, or sold to, third parties.

B.     Information Collected to Register to Use or Access the SchoolOne Program

  • Personal information, including but not limited to name, email address, school, address, and phone number will be collected in order to register you to use the SchoolOne Program.
  •  No identifiable personal information will be disseminated to any third party by SchoolOne.com. Aggregate demographic information regarding users of this website may be provided to third parties.

C.    Information Collected While Using the SchoolOne Program

  • Personally identifiable information necessary to ensure the secure, useful operation of the SchoolOne Program will be collected while you are using the SchoolOne Program.
  • Information that is not identifiable to any person may be collected as noted above.
    To be allowed access to the SchoolOne Program, your school must have first registered with SchoolOne.com and obtained a user name and password.

IV.    Cookie Disclosure Information

A "cookie" is a persistent client-side hypertext transfer protocol file. Cookies are pieces of information that a website can transfer to a visitor's hard drive for record keeping purposes. You agree to the disclosure of aggregated data as described in Section III of this Agreement where SchoolOne.com disclosed that no identifiable personal information will be disseminated to any third party by SchoolOne.com and only information that is not identifiable to any person can be shared with, or sold to, third parties.

We reserve the right to disclose personal data in special cases when we believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with our website, other users of our website, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities, or where required to do so by court order or applicable law. We reserve the right to disclose personal data when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.

VII.   Your Right to Opt Out

You may opt out of having your personal information collected by SchoolOne.com by contacting us via e-mail or regular mail. Please note that in order to fulfill certain obligations, we may need to continue sending you notices or other important information concerning your registration. You always have the option of opting out of having any personal information collected by SchoolOne.com. You are free at any time to notify SchoolOne.com, by email or regular mail that you want to be removed from the database of registered users of the SchoolOne Program.

You may request, via e-mail or regular mail, that we provide you with a summary of personal information in our database(s). You may also request, via e-mail or regular mail, that we modify or remove any of your personal information in our database(s).

IX.    Collecting Personal Data from Children

Features on this website are accessible to children under age 13. Any forms for comments or interactive content will only ask for e-mail addresses or demographic information with prior parental consent.

SchoolOne.com's website may include links to other Internet websites. Parents will need to provide the  request to the Member school in which the child is enrolled. Upon receipt of the  request, we will provide necessary data to the school to provide to the parent.

5. Parents have the right to prevent further use of the information collected. Parents will need to provide the request to the Member school in which you child is enrolled. Upon receipt of the request, we will provide necessary data to the school to provide to the parent.

6. SchoolOne.com has a duty to maintain reasonable procedures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of your child's personal information. SchoolOne.com employs such reasonable procedures.

7. We do not provide any personally identifying information, regardless of its source, to any third party for any purpose whatsoever from visitors to this website who are under 13 years of age.
